Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our UK gift box delivery times, shipping options, and where we deliver.

Dispatch Information
We hand-pack every order with care here at Bluebird HQ — and we do our best to get your gift on its way quickly!
- Orders placed before 11am (Monday-Friday) will usually be dispatched the same day. During busy periods, however, dispatch may be delayed until the next working day.
- Orders placed after 11am can sometimes be dispatched the same day, but if not, they will be dispatched the next working day.
- Orders placed over the weekend or on a bank holiday will be dispatched on the next working day (Monday-Friday).
Requesting Gift Delivery For A Later Date
If you need your gift to arrive on a specific future date, please include this information in the order notes, and we will dispatch it closer to that time. While we can’t guarantee delivery on a specific day, if you choose a tracked option, you’ll receive a Royal Mail email with delivery date options — including the ability to delay delivery by up to 7 days.
UK Postage Information
Your order will be dispatched within 1 working day (Monday-Friday). Once it is in the delivery network, it will usually arrive within the following timescales:
Royal Mail 48
- Delivery guidelines: 2-3 working days (Monday-Saturday) from the date of dispatch.
- Royal Mail 48 aims to deliver within 48 hours, but this is not guaranteed.
Royal Mail 24
- Delivery guidelines: Usually delivers the next working day (Monday-Saturday) from the date of dispatch.
- Royal Mail 24 aims to deliver within 24 hours, but this is not guaranteed.
Please be aware that although Royal Mail aims to deliver within these timescales, there may be occasions when delays occur beyond their control.
Our UK Gift Delivery Options:
- Royal Mail Tracked 48 Delivery (2-3 working days): £3.99
- Royal Mail Tracked 24 Delivery (1 working day): £4.99
- Free Tracked 48 Delivery to UK postcodes on all orders over £45
- Free Tracked 24 Delivery to UK postcodes on all orders over £75
We also offer untracked delivery at a reduced cost on some of our letterbox-sized gifts. If this option is available, you’ll see this option at checkout.
While our primary postal partner is Royal Mail, we do sometimes use a different courier when needed — for example, if a parcel is a little heavier, if Royal Mail is experiencing delays, or to ensure quicker delivery around bank holidays.
We always choose the best option to get your gift where it needs to go, as smoothly and quickly as possible. If you would like to check which courier will be delivering your parcel, please get in touch at info@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk.
Can I order a gift from outside of the UK to be delivered to friends/family in the UK?
Of course! We offer the option to add a different shipping address to your billing address during checkout, allowing you to send a gift (complete with gift wrap and a personal gift message!) directly to friends and family living, working, or studying in the UK, no matter where you are in the world!
Our website accepts international card payments, as well as PayPal and Google Pay transactions. If you experience any issues with this or have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch, and we'll be more than happy to assist you!
International Postage
Delivery Information Update: Post-Brexit Changes
Following Brexit, we’ve had to pause EU and international postage (including the Republic of Ireland) for now, due to unexpected customs fees being charged to recipients.
A good workaround? Send the gift to your UK address first, then forward it on — this avoids issues with customs labelling and VAT.
Northern Ireland Delivery Update
From May 2025 Postage to Northern Ireland has now resumed and NI delivery addresses can be added at the checkout again.
Tracking Your Delivery
Tracked Delivery Information
If you’ve chosen a tracked delivery option, we will request the delivery company to send you an email with a tracking number and a link once your order has been scanned into their network. This email will be sent to the address you provided during checkout. If you haven’t received this email within 24 hours of receiving our notification that your order has been completed and is on its way, please get in touch at thenest@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk, and we will request this for you.
Untracked Delivery Information
If you’ve selected an untracked delivery option, your parcel won’t be scanned along its journey with Royal Mail. However, we will still notify you when your order has left us. And if you’d like to check whether your order has arrived, we can check this for you too. If you have any questions or concerns about your delivery, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Selecting A Delivery Date Or Nominating A Safe Place
If you choose a tracked delivery option, you will receive a text message or email from Royal Mail once your parcel has been dispatched. This will include the expected delivery date and time, along with several helpful options if the delivery time isn’t convenient for you:
- Reschedule Delivery: Choose a new delivery date within the next 7 days.
- Delivery to a Neighbour: Select a neighbour for Royal Mail to try delivering to if you're not at home.
- Safe Place Option: Nominate a Safe Place for Royal Mail to leave your parcel if you're unavailable.
- Collect from Local Location: Choose a nearby post office or delivery office to pick up your parcel.

Missing/Delayed Parcels
We know how important it is for your gift to arrive safely — and we’ll do everything we can to make that happen.
Deliveries can take a little longer during busier periods and may occasionally experience unexpected delays. We hope your gift will be arriving very soon!
If you’ve selected a tracked delivery option, you can easily monitor the current status of your parcel using your Royal Mail tracking number. If you haven’t received your tracking details, please don’t hesitate to contact us, and we’ll be happy to provide them.
If you have not received your order within 10 working days from the dispatch email, please get in touch with the Bluebird Team at thenest@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk We will promptly investigate and resolve the issue for you.
