We know how important it is for your gift to be just right. Here are answers to some of the questions we get asked most often — from how to order, to delivery, payments, and packaging.

I am having trouble placing an order!
Oh no, sorry to hear you're having trouble! Don’t worry though, we’re here to help. If you’re having any issues, just drop us an email at hello@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk, and we’ll sort it out for you.
If the “Create a Gift Box” feature is being a bit tricky, try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies — it often helps. But if you’re still having issues, just give us a shout and we’ll be happy to assist.
Can I change or cancel my order?
If you need to make any changes or cancel your order, please email us as soon as possible at hello@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk. If your order hasn’t been dispatched yet, we’ll be happy to help!
Even if we don’t reply straight away, don’t worry — we check emails before dispatch, so we’ll make sure we catch your request in time.
When will my gift be sent?
We do our best to get your gift to you quickly. Here’s the usual timeline:
- Orders placed before 11am (Mon–Fri): We aim to dispatch these the same day, but during busy periods, it might be the next working day.
- Orders placed between 11am and 1pm (Mon–Fri): These often go out the same day, but might take a little longer during busy times.
- Orders placed after 1pm (Mon–Fri): These will be sent out the next working day.
- Weekend or bank holiday orders: These will be sent out on the next working day.
If you need your gift in a bit of a rush, just get in touch, and we’ll do our best to help.

Can I order a gift from outside of the UK to be delivered to friends/family in the UK?
Absolutely! You can send a thoughtful gift to someone in the UK from anywhere in the world. Just pop in the UK delivery address at checkout, and we’ll take care of the rest — gift wrap and a personal note included!
We accept international payments via credit card, PayPal, and Google Pay. If you have any problems or need a hand, just let us know — we’re here to help!
Will the recipient get a receipt or invoice?
No, we don’t include any invoices or receipts in our gift boxes. We want the recipient to feel like they’re getting a lovely surprise, not a bill!
You’ll get an email with your order confirmation and payment receipt, so you’ll have all the details.
If you’d like a printed receipt, just let us know, and we’ll be happy to send one over.
Just so you know: We’re not VAT registered, so we’re unable to provide VAT receipts at the moment.
Can I remain anonymous?
Yes — your gift can stay anonymous.
We never share your details with the recipient unless you choose to include them in your message.
If they ask us who it’s from, we won’t reveal it — but we’ll let you know they’re curious!
What will my Bluebird Box look like?
Every Bluebird Box is packed with care, and you can make it your own by choosing:
- Your preferred box design
- Eco-friendly filler and tissue paper
- A gift card, wrap, and personalised message
- Any finishing touches you’d like to add
Our boxes are beautiful, fun, and caring — just like the gifts inside. They’re biodegradable and compostable, with outer packaging that’s recyclable or compostable, so they’re kind to the planet too.
We’ll do everything we can to make sure your gift arrives exactly as you envisioned — thoughtful, meaningful, and full of care.
My order hasn’t arrived yet?
We completely understand how excited you are for your gift to arrive, and we’re really sorry if there’s been a delay. While we always do our best to get everything out quickly, busy times and delivery companies can sometimes cause a little hold-up.
If you’ve chosen tracked delivery, you can check on your parcel’s status using the Royal Mail tracking link. If it’s been more than 10 working days since you received your dispatch email, please drop us an email at thenest@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk — we’ll happily look into it for you and get it sorted.
What if there’s an issue with my gift or product?
We’re really sorry if something’s not quite right — that’s the last thing we want! Please pop us an email at hello@wherebluebirdsfly.co.uk and we’ll be more than happy to help make it right.
If you’ve simply changed your mind, no problem! We’re happy to accept returns on non-personalised items, as long as they’re are unused. Just send the items back to us and cover the return postage — once they arrive safely, we’ll issue a full refund.

Do you offer any discounts?
We don’t offer discounts all the time, as we work hard to keep our prices as low as possible. Being a small business, it can be tricky to offer discounts frequently, but we really appreciate your support!
